Take a Remington that needs to go to a gunsmith, and I am thinking about sending it to one of big greens authorized repair centers. Local gunsmiths worth their salt are scarce in my parts, and the couple with good reputations are back logged several months.

Any i have experience with this? Curious if it is worth it, costs, average plough around, etc. I really am non in a bustle, just don't like having weapons in my rubber that don't work.

I sent a three.five 870 in a couple years ago to one of the authorized middle in the northern part of my country. Quick plow around but didn't set the problem (would non extract steel headed cases). Complained to Remington and the sent me a new barrel, but the problem continued. I hear this is mutual with that model. Good luck.

Yeap sent an 1100 barrel back to an authorized service centre a few years ago for choke tube problems, ii weeks afterwards got a new butt dorsum.
Had to call the service center upwardly to ask what they institute, plain the manufactory didn't bore the choke recess straight.
Requite Remington at least high marks for Customer Service.

Y'all didn't mention if older model firearm and/or purchase? I read comments of new Remington 1911R1 going back for minor problems to Ilion NY; turn around fourth dimension was two weeks and Remington paid for the shipping out too.

I telephone call Remington Customer service first discuss with them maybe free ship and faster turn around over Remington Service Eye.

I bought a new 1100 when steel shot became mandatory. The new 1100 would not cycle steel shot loads (it was a 3' magnum an I think it was actually set up to cycle pb loads). The dealer bought it from sent it dorsum for me. Remington polished the action rail slots in the receiver and information technology has worked like a champ ever since.

I accept sent 2 guns to them. The outset was an Hour Handirifle in 243. Turn around was less than two weeks to Ks. The second was an 887 that wouldn't fire. Quicker render and gun goes bang every time at present. Full toll? 0.00
